Taybeh - Sanad Sahelia - Nabd Al-ElHaya - “You have been a voice of truth and ambassadors of peace… proving that you are capable of becoming the leaders of tomorrow.” With these words, Father Bashar Fawadleh, parish priest of Christ the Redeemer Latin Church in Taybeh, concluded his patronage of the closing ceremony of the school’s first internal Model United Nations conference (LTMUN), highlighting that the students’ performance “reflects a distinguished image of Palestine’s conscious and educated youth, and the determination of a generation capable of building a better future through knowledge and dialogue, despite the challenges facing the Palestinian people.”
The ceremony, held yesterday, Friday, at the Latin Patriarchate School in Taybeh, was attended by the school principal, Mr. Tamer Nasrallah, alongside the administrative and teaching staff and students’ parents. The conference marked the school’s first internal experience simulating the workings of the United Nations, aiming to train students in diplomatic debate and decision-making within an interactive educational environment.

He encouraged students to adhere to the rules of dialogue and teamwork, emphasizing that success is measured not only by awards but also by intellectual growth, self-confidence, and collaborative skills.
He added that the conference was not a one-off activity but a key stage in a progressive training journey that began with student participation in external conferences, followed by regular in-school training focused on research, public speaking, and understanding international issues. The experience strengthened students’ confidence and sense of responsibility, teaching them to think critically, listen attentively, engage respectfully in debates, and reach constructive solutions. He also thanked the English Department, represented by teachers Shireen Saleha and Gianna Qart, for their efforts in organizing, preparing, and supervising the conference.
